Our doctors have been trained in many therapies to provide the best patient care beyond the chiropractic adjustment.
Our Services
Chiropractic Adjustments
Also known as “chiropractic manipulations”. Adjustments are gentle thrusts that are performed by a chiropractor at specific joints to restore the joint’s normal range of motion. This can result in the relief of tension and pressure around that joint and surrounding muscles. Most patients feel a sense of ‘relief’ or ‘decrease in stiffness’ after an adjustment, but some may experience mild soreness. It is common to feel soreness after muscle work/therapies have also been performed. This can be described as being similar to the soreness you feel after exercising. Chiropractic adjustments are performed not only when the doctor deems them therapeutically necessary but also at the patient’s tolerance and comfort level. The team at Well-Fit Chiropractic believes in patient comfort above all.

Sports/Exercise
Chiropractic treatments can be especially effective for any level of fitness. Certified Sports Chiropractors have been specially trained to sports and exercise injuries. This advance allows Sports Chiropractors to not only treat the specific injury or imbalance, but also to rehabilitate the patient to return to play or excel to the next level of fitness. Chiropractors have been long establishing themselves along sidelines of the NFL, NBA, PGA, NCAA, and Olympics.
Perinatal Care
Supporting our expecting mothers from prenatal through postpartum care. Our specialized chiropractic tables allow our moms to be able to lay comfortably face down while our doctors help work out tension, stiffness, and pain associated with pregnancies. Chiropractic care helps restore normal body function while allowing baby to grow and thrive safely inside.
Active Release Technique
Active Release Technique, or more commonly referred to as “A.R.T.” was developed by a sports chiropractor to improve the muscle or soft tissue therapies he was providing. Active Release Technique uses a series of specific protocols and movement to help restore normal muscle and soft tissue texture, function, and motion. Whether from an acute injury or repetitive stress, fibrous adhesions can develop in our bodies. An ARTⓇ provider utilizes these protocols to decrease or remove these adhesions, to induce an increase in blood flow and decrease in pain and muscle tension. It is common for patients to feel sore following this muscle therapy. The soreness is described as being similar to the soreness following exercise. ARTⓇ can be used on any patient, regardless of their fitness aptitude.

Dry Needling
Dry needling is a therapy that utilizes the insertion of a thin, unmedicated needle into a muscle to trigger increased blood flow to the area, reduce pain and tension, and promote recovery and healing. Certified practitioners may also couple the use of electric stimulation through a TENS unit to increase the effects of the dry needling. Dry needling can not only be useful in treating trigger points or muscle “knots”, but also can be beneficial to treat the muscle tension around herniated discs, scoliosis, or other musculoskeletal conditions around the spine and throughout the whole body.
Webster Technique
Webster Technique is a specific type of chiropractic adjustment that evaluates and focuses on the patient’s pelvic rim, sacrum, and sacroiliac (SI) joints. Webster Technique is highly recognized to help pregnant females maintain their best biomechanics while the baby continues to grow inside, thus optimizing mom’s health and pregnancy/birth. Chiropractors examine and analyze the SI joint dysfunction to perform the corrective adjustment that restores normal movement for the patient. Though used for expecting moms, Webster Technique can also be applied for any patient experiencing low back pain, hip pain, and/or glute (butt) pain.

Kinesio Taping
Though KinesioTex Tape has become highly popular in the sports industry, it can actually be utilized for many patients, including our expecting mothers! Kinesio Tape is an elastic, adhesive tape that can be cut into varying sizes for different applications. The Kinesio Taping method can be used to help facilitate the body’s normal muscle function, decrease pain, reduce swelling/bruising, and encourage healing without being restrictive.

Ultrasound Therapy
“Ultrasound Therapy” or “Therapeutic Ultrasound” is not to be confused with “Diagnostic Ultrasound” or “Sonograms”. Ultrasound Therapy is a passive modality that uses high frequency sound waves to decrease swelling and encourage soft tissue healing. Ultrasound Therapy is very useful in treating various tendinitis and bursitis symptoms.
Electric Muscle Stimulation
Also known as “EMS” or “E-Stim”. Pads are placed directly on top of the muscles or surrounding a particular muscle, joint, or area of the body. E-Stim is used to decrease muscle tension/spasm, pain, and inflammation/swelling. When this therapy is used, patients describe a buzzing or tingling sensation where the pads are placed. It is also common to experience muscle twitching when having this therapy performed. E-stim can also be used in conjunction with an ice or heat pad.
Flexion Distraction
Flexion-distraction is a specific type of chiropractic technique that involves the use of a flexion-distraction table. This special chiropractic table moves the lower half of the table down and up in a cyclic rhythm as the doctor adds a gentle pressure along the low back area. The pressure with the movement induces stretching and distraction at specific levels. This treatment is safe, with patients commonly describing the stretching as a relief. Flexion-distraction therapy is encouraged for low back pain, herniated discs, and sacrum/sacroiliac (SI) joint pain.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is used to help restore the body’s normal energy. Thin, sterilized needles are inserted into the skin at specific points to help increase blood flow, reduce pain, and thus, restore your body’s wellness. Our doctors are acupuncture certified and practice a modified Japanese technique that only performs shallow needling, which helps minimize patient discomfort. Acupuncture can also help with headaches, muscle spasms, neck pain, and many other conditions.
Graston Technique
Graston TechniqueⓇ is an instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization technique. What does all of that mean? It means the Graston TechniqueⓇ certified provider glides stainless steel instruments over your skin, muscles, bones, and cartilage to help break up scar tissue. Scar tissue and other adhesions can be formed from an acute injury, repetitive stress, or left over from a surgical procedure. Reducing scar tissue and adhesions can increase mobility and restore normal function.
